Diaspora Nearby (developed and published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by Peter Swai) enforces a strict, absolute zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
1. Scope & Application Identification
These Child Safety Standards apply to the Diaspora Nearby application (Google Play package ID: com.diasporanearby.diasporanearby), its web services at diasporanearby.com, and all features operated by developer Peter Swai, including direct messaging, community chat rooms, user profiles, events, peer hosting/stays, and marketplace listings.
2. Explicit Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE & CSAM)
Diaspora Nearby strictly prohibits any use of our platform that involves, facilitates, promotes, or depicts Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) or Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Prohibited conduct and content include, without limitation:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Uploading, storing, sharing, transmitting, requesting, or viewing any visual depiction (including photographs, videos, digital illustrations, or AI-generated imagery) of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor (any person under 18 years of age).
- Grooming & Solicitation: Attempting to befriend, manipulate, or establish an emotional connection with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, sextortion, or trafficking.
- Sexualization of Minors: Any text, audio, image, video, profile content, or community post that sexualizes minors or encourages inappropriate interactions with children.
- Child Trafficking & Exploitation: Using Diaspora Nearby's messaging, travel, peer stay, or marketplace features to facilitate the commercial sexual exploitation or trafficking of children.
- External Links & Off-Platform Coordination: Sharing URLs, invite links, or contact details intended to direct users to external websites, chat groups, or services containing CSAM or promoting CSAE.
3. In-App Reporting & User Feedback Mechanism
Diaspora Nearby provides built-in, prominent in-app mechanisms allowing users to report child safety concerns, suspected CSAE/CSAM, and any other policy violations directly within the mobile application:
- Direct Message & Community Chat Reporting: Users can tap the menu/options icon on any direct message thread, community message, or chat room and select Report or Block & Report User.
- User Profile, Event & Listing Reporting: Every user profile, community event, and marketplace/stay listing includes a built-in Report action to flag abusive or unlawful content immediately.
- Settings & Safety Helpdesk: Users can submit safety reports and feedback anytime in-app via Settings → Help & Support or by emailing our Child Safety Team directly at support@diasporanearby.com.
4. Method for Addressing CSAM & Enforcement Actions
When Diaspora Nearby becomes aware of potential CSAM or CSAE—whether through proactive moderation, automated detection, or user reports—we take immediate and decisive action:
- Immediate Content Removal: Any confirmed or suspected CSAM or CSAE content is immediately removed and blocked from the platform.
- Permanent Account Termination: Any user account found to have uploaded, shared, solicited, or engaged in CSAE/CSAM is immediately and permanently banned without prior warning. Associated phone numbers, email addresses, device identifiers, and wallet addresses are permanently blacklisted.
- Evidence Preservation: Relevant account data, logs, and content metadata are securely preserved in accordance with applicable statutory requirements to assist law enforcement investigations.
5. Compliance with Child Safety Laws & Reporting to Authorities
Diaspora Nearby and developer Peter Swai comply with all applicable regional, national, and international child safety laws and regulations, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. Specifically:
- We report all apparent or suspected instances of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline (https://www.cybertipline.org / 1-800-843-5678).
- We cooperate fully with federal, state, regional, and international law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of child exploitation offenses.
