1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Diaspora Nearby mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms
of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Diaspora Nearby is a location-based social networking platform that connects diaspora communities globally.
The App allows users to discover nearby community members, communicate, attend events, access marketplace
services, and earn $DIASPORA tokens through Proof of Activity (PoA) and Proof of Community Trust (PoCT).
3. User Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts are prohibited.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content.
- Attempt to manipulate the $DIASPORA token economy through fraudulent activity.
- Create automated accounts or use bots to interact with the platform.
5. $DIASPORA Tokens (DSP)
- $DIASPORA tokens are earned through on-platform activity and are not purchased.
- Pre-TGE DSP points are not transferable and have no cash value until the Token Generation Event (TGE).
- The conversion rate at TGE is determined by your Trust Score (Decile Efficiency Gate).
- We reserve the right to modify token distribution mechanics with community notice.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
- You retain ownership of content you create and share on the platform.
- By posting content, you grant Diaspora Nearby a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that
content within the platform.
- All platform branding, design, and technology are the intellectual property of Diaspora Nearby.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how
we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including location data.
8. Limitation of Liability
Diaspora Nearby is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to the
value or conversion of $DIASPORA tokens.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity,
or any conduct that undermines the trust and safety of the community.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes
acceptance of the revised terms.
